Please contact the school office to schedule a tour of our beautiful campus by clicking the button below. During the tour one of our staff will lead you around the school in a casual setting. We encourage visiting parents and students to observe a sampling of curriculum. Meet our dedicated teachers and your child’s potential new classmates!
Christian Academy of Laurel welcomes students who are currently in 3rd grade or above to shadow with a current student to visit for part or all of a typical school day as you consider becoming part of the CAL community. Spending time in classes helps students and their families determine if the curriculum is a good fit. We strongly recommend that parents complete a tour or attend an open house event prior to their child's shadow day!
- Step 1: Submit an application
The application is online. Please submit one application for each student seeking admission. Once a family has created an account, they will have a checklist that guides them through the steps necessary to complete the applicaiton.
- Step 2: Complete the online enrollment packet
Upon submission of a completed application and annual registration fee, the online enrollment packet is submitted for both new and returning students.
New families will receive instructions after the application has been submitted and reviewed.
- Step 3: Academic Testing
All academic testing begins in June. Kindergarten readiness assessments and grades 1-8 will be individually scheduled during the summer period.
- Step 4: Making the Decision
Once you have completed the enrollment process, we will inform you if there are any changes that need to be made. After completion of the academic testing, the decision for acceptance or denial will be made by the Head of School.
Once we calculate the total tuition calculations for any students under your account, the charges will be added to the family’s FACTS account and it will be finalized. You should receive a notification from FACTS informing you that your account has been completely set up and that you can view the payment plan details.
- Step 5: You are finished!
Once the school office has documentation that all of the required forms have been submitted and the registration fee has been paid, the registration process is complete!
Children entering kindergarten (must turn 5 by October 15th) should be able to demonstrate appropriate age maturity, the fine motor skills to write the alphabet, letter recognition and sound association. They are expected to recognize colors, shapes, numbers 1-10, and be able to count to 20.
New applicants for Kindergarten and up will be given an academic assessment to determine basic skill levels and grade placement.
